Question about 2003 GMC Sierra
I have a 2003 , 2500HD Duramax with 223000km . I was way up in the north country when this started to happen to my truck. I found an old mech. who had to come back into the bush to give a boost because i couldn't start my truck as well. He told me he has seen this before on the 03's. Long story short it was the injectors the dealer replaced all 8 under warrenty. GM sent me a letter later saying they will cover all diesel parts under warrenty for 320,000km and another 6yrs. its your injectors change your oil more often until you get it fixed. To check this park your truck for the day and try starting it if it will not start. Go under the hood and prime the fuel filter (pump until it gets hard) then turn the truck over a little and prime the filter again until hard then start the truck. if this works then get the injectors replaced by GM. This worked for my truck hope it helps. Rick

First check the alternator and the drivebelt and also check the fuel pump relay and the fuse for the sending unit as well and check all vacuum lines especially the one behind the throttle body to make sure none of them are off
