Mercedes alarm constantly sounding hazard lights flashing

Mercedes c200 sport

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

When the alarm sound can you use the remote to reset the alarm? How old is the battery because when the battery becomes weak it can play havic on the elctrical system and cause the alarm to activate. Most parts stores will test the battery for you for free. Can you give any more information like if the vehicle was worked on then the problem started? accident? temperature related? etc...

SOURCE: mercedes c200 sport ignition key will not turn in

The EIS (Electronic Ignition Switch) is malfunctioning. You will have to replace the EIS and take the car to a dealer to reprogram the keys.

My hazards flash once I lock my car without the alarm sound. battery has been replaced on key. how can I stop this from happening?

Stop what from happening exactly? the hazards from flashing? or the alarm sound from NOT happening?

I'll go with the alarm, cuz at least that makes sense. In this case it is likely that the speaker for the alarm has broken or shorted. Check the fuse, and the speaker if you can locate it.

Left turn signal on mercedes c200 sport does not work but hazard works

The hazard and indicator circuits are largely independent and I would say that you have a problem with the indicator switch not making contact on the left selection contact points.

Hi, I just got a series 3 1996 BMW. The alarm is constantly on and when we disabled it the hazard lights flash continuously. Any idea how to sort this?

There is a short in the connections so the hazard lights are flashing. The hazard flashers may begin flashing by themselves or the turn signals may flash at twice the normal speed due to condensation shorting out the circuit board. --------- Have you tried disconnecting the car battery, then turning the ignition on and reconnecting the battery? If not then please try this and check. And see if that makes any difference in the problem or solves the problem.--------- Also you can try disabling the hazards from flashing. To stop the hazards flashing pull the hazard switch out (pull the gear leaver gaiter out then you can put your fingers under the switch and push it out) then you will see a single wire in a black sleeving, cut this wire and this will stop them flashing. Also the alarm is behind the glove-box if you want to unplug it there. ----------- Keep updated for anymore query.Thanks.

Ignition: when switch on the key model W 202 1996

C200?

Is your 2nd key fob giving you the same problem?

Have you change the battery inside the key fob?

Check the mirror for alarm/immobilize indicator.

If you using a dead key fob then alarm system will immobilize the ignition system.
