if a standad check cluch switch on pedal if auto check nutral safty switch under dash at colom 4 stering
also check wires 2 starter r tight and clean dose it click if so tap starter it may go but will need 2 replace starter good luck
Replace the starter,it is a low geared starter ,witch has contacts, instead of brushes,if I am correct you can sometimes tap the starter while trying to start, and the starter will turn the engine over, use a hammer,do not slam the starter,it will break the magnets in the stater.
if you have power to the solenoid on the starter pull in post but nothing happens thenthe brushes need to be replaced in the starter.the brushes let the solenoid go to grounrnd for the lenght of of time it takes to engage the solenoid pull coil and the switch and relay take over during the hold mode of the starter.usually will find the lead from the solenoid to the brushes has rotted off,or brushes are gone.
