This means that your transmission is no good anymore you will have to get it rebuilt or buy a new one.

Transmission not working right

I believe you have a slipping gears and looks like the gear box need overhauling. Take it to an Automatic Transmission Specialist to Diagnose.Do not leave it and use it any further, surely you will cause serious damage and cost.

Automatic transmissiom wont shift out of first gear fluid level is good and is not slipping

First of all make sure you are checking the fluid in neutral with the engine running.Any other way will cause a false reading. This is not a computer controlled transmission even though it does have a solenoid to turn overdrive off with.If the fluid is full and you dont have an engine performance problem such as a resricted exhaust or a locked up fan clutch then you have a stuck valve in the transmission. The problem is what has caused the valve to stick, most likely something like the torque converter has failed and is the real problem.May want to pull the pan and inspect to see if there are metal shavings and /or clutch material in the pan and filter.Good Luck!

1998 ford escort SE sometimes like it dosen't want to move, has enough fulid, the most of the time its ok. every tells me the transmissiom is on its way out. Please let me know your advise.

If it slipping in just certain gears i would say the bands are bad but usally it in older cars the torqu converters go out from moisture and stress. if the torque converter is going out it will act like you have to give it alought of throttle to get little to no movement but ones moving will drive just will seem to slip all the time till it goes out.

How do i check transmissiom fluid 2006 jetta

Hi there,

Jetta's 2006 carry sealed gear box. There is no dip stick to check the transmission fluid. Per manufacturer, transmission fluid requires to change unless there is any issue with transmission. I hope this helps.

Engine revs and i am only at 35 miles per hour. before this the engine was revving with loss of some power at pedal.

is this car automatic transmissiom or standard,if auto does the transmission fluid look brown and smell burnt, fluid should be red,if it is brown and smells burnt, likely a transmission failure,if car has a standard transmission it sounds like clutch could be slipping,if its a hydraulic actuated clutch, there could be a problem with hydraulics hanging up or the clutch itself is worn out

Transmissiom slips out of gear after 10 min. of driving, makes wierd whirring noise when trying to reengage but completely goes out after 15 min. let it sit for a while situation starts all over again.

I take it this is a manual transmission. Drain some of the oil out of the bottom of the transmission, and look at it to see if there are any pieces of metal in it. The drain plug should have a magnet. This should be all under warranty.
