Try changing crankshaft sensor. You will not get a code readout for this problem. Had same problem on Mercedes ml320 and now works fine

My 1989 corvette starts and runs awhile then just dies then it will restart but will die again

Gm has bad ignition coils, also you may have a weak fuel pump, especially if the car has sit with old fuel in it. Try changing the fuel filter and coil.

Why does my car try to die when i drive down the road?

Try to check the ignition coil, when you driving it become hot then the car dies end won't start. After awhile when it's cold, then it will start. Replace the ignition coil.
I hope it solves the problem

1993 ford taurus

sounds like it could be a coil issue after its been sitting for awhile it starts again correct? when its running the coil will warm up and if there is a small crack in it anywhere it will seperate and loose its contact therefore interupting the spark for the engine and it will die. or it could be a bad fuel pump or even cheeper yet check the fuel filter.

96 GMC Jimmy starts okay but dies after about 10 minutes. It will start again after sitting for awhile, then dies again. Have changed the fuel filter and pump...any other ideas?

If you have replaced the fuel pump and filter I would still check the pump pressure when it wants to die. Check for any trouble codes in the system also.

Car dies and battery light comes on.

Will it crank over when it won't start? When It dies check for spark at the sparkplugs if none change the ignition module.
