I either have a bad Master Switch or a Bad Power Window Motor, the window will go down and goes up slow or not at all. I'm told I can apply 12 volts to the wiring harness and it will operate the window if the motor is good. My problem is I don't know where power and ground are on the harness for the drivers side window. Does anyone know where I can get the pinout of that harness? email@example.com

THEIR ARE A FEW PROBLEMS THAT IT COULD BE,SOME MECHANICAL KNOWLEGE IS REQUIRED, THE EASIEST THING FOR YOU TO DO IS TO TAKE THE DOOR PANEL OFF,FIND THE PLUG THAT GOES INTO THE WINDOW MOTOR GET A HOT BATTERY WITH TWO JUMPER WIRES AND ATTACH THEM TO THE BATTERY AND TOUCH THEM TOO THE PLUG OF THE MOTOR YOU CAN REVERSE THE WIRE FOR UP OR DOWN.POS NEG OR NEG POS FOR UP OR DOWN.YOU COULD ALSO HAVE A BAD MASTER WINDOW SWITCH IVE SEEN THAT IT WILL WORK IN ONE DIRECTION AND NOT THE OTHER ,AND MANY OF PEOPLE HAVE THOUGHT IT WAS THE MOTOR .THATS WHY I IF YOU DONT HAVE A EXTRA MASTER SWITCH LAYING AROUND TO TEST ITS EASIER TO JUMP THE MOTOR,IF IT GOES UP AND DOWN AT THE MOTOR THEN SWITCH IS BAD OR FUSE OR RELAY ...WHICH YOU SHOULD CHECK TOO BUT USUALLY IF THEY ALL THE OTHERS WORK THEN PROB NOT A RELAY.ALSO CHECK ON EBAY FOR YOUR PART ITS CALLED A WINDOW REGULATOR AND MOTOR IT COMES ALL TOGETHER.ITS BOLTED TO THE DOOR .IF YOU TOOK IT TO A SHOP EXPECT TO PAY 250 TO 350.THANKS AND GOOD LUCK
if the master switch dont make window work has to be the window motor. if its the driver side window where master switch is.remove window switch shake wires will working the switch if window try moving switch is bad. if power is at the window switch and using test light to see if power going to window motor if no window motor bad if power going to the power window motor and its trying to move window and you can hear motor working the window regulator causing binding keep window glass from going up or down.
Make sure the window lockout button is not depressed on the master window switch. This will turn off the other switches and not let them control there respective windows.
Power is supplied to all the windows from one fuse and one relay. So if the master switch operates the window than we know the fuses and relays are o.k. We know the master switch will operate the window so that tells us the window motor and ground side of the passenger window motor circuit are also good.
Which leaves us with a bad switch or no power to the switch. The passenger window switch gets its power to operate independently from the master switch window lockout button. When the button is off power is supplied to the passenger switch and allows the passenger to operate the window themselves.
The only thing you need to do is check for power at the passenger switch on the brown wire with orange stripe. If there is power there then you have a bad switch.
You either have excessive dirt in the rubber channels that are slowing the window down, or, you have a bad window motor. Try spraying some 100% silicone spray into the tracks, beside the window, and raise/lower it. If that does not work, the positive coeffcient thermister in the motor is bad; ie replace the motor.
Try replacing the button that you push up and down. It could be bad under it and not making the connection. Maybe take the panel off and take the switch off, then clean the connecters under the button. Maybe that will do it. Also, you probably already ckeched this, but is the window off track? Well, good luck and let me know. Have a great night.~MWD
