Hi. I have a 2000 Regal. My dad had rear ended someone, and ever since, the fan for the AC erc. has not worked right. For example, the driver's 2 vents are noticeably a different temp than the passenger. If the AC is on, the passenger's side is quite cold, but the driver's side feels like it's just outside air coming in. Any suggestions?

Re: AC/Heating/Vent Not Working Correct
You have to remove the dash covering your vent system. You need to find the flap and controls that handle the flap. One of these flaps have been jarred. Put it back in place and make sure the cables all work correctly
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

The fuel filling problem is usually a bad charcoal canister. They get saturated and are not able to breathe properly. ( ruined when people top off there tank) It could be other things maybe a stuck vent valve but that should set a check engine light. As far as the fuse goes, replace it with the correct amperage fuse. If it blows again that circuit will need to be checked for short or over load. (Possible someone added aftermarket device to circuit drawing the circuit over the 20 amps its designed for.)
After a jumper test on the fans to make sure that they work, you might take a look at your coolant level or temperature sensor. The try testing or replacing any fuses or relays wired into your air conditioning and heating circuit. In my 1998 Buick Regal, the fans never run until the air conditioner or heating fan is turned on. Unfortunately, the A.C. compressor and the cooling fans also kick in when I turn on the heater fan switch. Your best option is to wire the fans to a manual switch on your dash or just drive really fast all the time.
Sounds like a vacuum activated switch. Your engine vacuum is used to open and close little doors in your vents. If a hose is loose or disconnected or the electronic controls that tell the switch to let vacuum thru is not working, no air will reach your defroster vent at the windshield. Does the switch that controls Vent, Heat (sends to the floor), AC and MAX AC do anything at all? If they do, you may have a specific switch problem. If you switch from Vent to MAX AC the sound of the air flow should be much louder. If the switch isnt changing where the air blows, it is leading you to the problem. Either the switch is bad or the supply of vacuum to the switch is not there whether it is a loose vacuum hose or a disconnected one. Happens often when aftermarket stereos are installed and the installer disconnects something either by accident or forgets to reconnect it.
my dad had the same problem in his 95 ford ranger it ended up being the control module that selected heating and colling and what vent postion the steper motor should select
you can buypass the module under the hood so it isnt kicking in the ac when you want heat
but ultimatly have the dealer fix it since its a factory defect :) cheers hope this helped
