I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado that needs the Cabin air filter replaced. Alot of people say that the 03 models don't have one and thats not true there is one there just past the blower. My problem is I can't find a way to Access the filter in order to remove and replace it. Any Suggestions?

Re: 2003 Chevy Silverado Cabin Airfilter
If you have the large cover over the ventwork on the pass side you will need to remove that cover ( some dont have the cover) there will be a narrow door with two 5.5 mm screws holding it in remove the screws and the access door 1 filter will be there and the other will be beside it

The 2002/2003 Silverado was a change over year for Cabin Air filters. I know with the Chevy Avalanche
the 03's did not have them and 02's did. The dash/center console
changed with the 03's, and I believe it was done away with in that
change over.... Still shows up on catalog, but the 03 has no Cabin Filter.
Part number: 4B0819439C. Filter element (dust and polen filter) with odor and harmful substances filltration. Placed on the right side of the car, (engine bonet raised), under cover plate for water box (also for battery box), and under water deflector at the bottom of the windshield - right side for Left Hand Steering wheel. !!! For Right Hand Steering wheel cars the cabin air filter is placed on the left side !!! Please Rate my Respone! Thanks!
i came across the same deal in my 2003 silverado. the owners manual says to replace the cabin filter but i sure couldn't find it. went to dealer. service manager looked at it, said mine didn't have a cabin filter. my truck is a work truck model (rubber floor mats, crank windows, etc.) and they don't have cabin filters. this may be your case., i don't know. if you have the fancy model, then you might have a cabin filter.
