You access the connectors by pulling back on the bottom front of the plastic wheel house liner. It may be easier to remove the tire first. Then remove the connectors and rotate the headlamp socket a quarter turn counterclockwise to remove.

Replacing headlight bulb on my HHR 2008

The procedure for changing the front bulbs is described in the owners manual but it is not easy. It is the same for the headlights, turn signals, and fog lights. First, turn the wheels in (to the left for the right side) and then turn off the vehicle. You will then loosen the screws on the inside plastic wheel well until you can bend it out of the way. You can then reach inside, and the bulbs all come out with a 1/4 twist to the left. Make sure you remove the old gasket ring, and install the new bulb with only one gasket. Screw the wheel well back into position and you are done.

Need help on changing out my head light on my chevy hhr can you help explain how?

Open your hood, look at the back of the headlight. where the wires go into the headlight, there is a plastic retainer. It probably has arrows showing which way to turn it to remove it. Once you turn it it should pull right out. Take care not to touch the glass on the new one. They get so hot that the oil from your fingers can cause it to blow out again.

I'm sorry I skipped something. Once you pull it out, you should be able to see where the little clip thingy is, you may need a screw driver to pry it up just a little to unplug it, but you should be able to do it by hand.

Hey the EPS on my 06 HHR is having issues. It

This is a known problem with the power steering which will probably require replacement of the power steering motor. The HHR uses an electric 12V DC motor to provide the power steering force, and they have started failing.

GM is recalling the Cobalt and other vehicles for this issue, but not yet the HHR. If you are out of warranty, you will probably be personally responsible for the cost of diagnostics and replacement.

You will probably need to contact your dealer unless you are able to replace the motor yourself. Sorry.
