Have the fault codes read and replace the faulty sensor/unit.

SOURCE: 1999 suburban starting problem

It is possibly a PASSLOCK problem. Before you start the vehicle, place ignition in RUN and observe the "SECURITY" light. Under normal conditions, it should go out after about 5 seconds. Once the PASSLOCK is activated, the vehicle wil not start for 10 minutes. If you have access to a OBD-II code reader, you will see a code stating a problem with the security feature, code P1626. The problem is most likely a intermittant failure of the contact in the ingnition switch responsible for this signal.

2005 F550 V10 lacks power

Sounds like a problem with the transmission. Your problem could be caused by a number of things related to the tranny but I would try change the Trans fluid and filters first. Costs around 100 at your local transmission repair shop.

We had a problem with our 2005 Jeep Frand Cherokee cutting out while driving on the interstate. We had the starter/iginition switch changed out and it worked fine. Note: My husband rolled it on that same interstate during a misting rain. It hit a soft shoulder and just gradually rolled. To say the least we do not own one anymore.
