Question about 1999 Daewoo Lanos

My 1999 Daewoo Lanos has good heat, but it will not devert to windshield, when knob is turned to defrost, all other postions work fine

Ok, this may be the mechanism that is attached to the actual door that diverts the air flow. this is located inside the dash board. this assembly may be stuck or malfunctioning. you could also have a obstruction as well. i would pull the dash board to check this out.

Sounds like you got a broken blendoor lever that directs airflow to the windshield. Get your big fat head under the dash and check around the blower box for broken levers.

Looks like you have to put muscle into it. Unscrew and pull.
Beware of hitting yourself in the face or having it fly out of your hand and breaking a window or windshield.

Daewoo lanos 98 model. Only one radiator fan works, which is overheating the car.


only one is suppose to work the other kicks on when you turn ac on turn ac on does it come on now let me no and i can help you more from there check water level do you have the correct amount of water in resevior of car when car heats up half way fan kicks few minutes later fan should kick off with ac off of course sticking thermostat can cause car to over heat

Check the condition of the tensioner and pulleys, a bearing may be bad in those items

I want to change the gear knob on my 99 deawoo lanos can anyone help me and tell me how.


look at it really close there should be a small set screw on the side of the knob make sure you have the right size allen before you try to take it out

try ur local ford dealer..they use to handle those cars when daewoo went under years back... if not a local independent perform the service.. not hard to work on those...check those power windows as well..
