Question about 2006 Nissan Altima
Try radio shack, or stereo sales/installation place for ready to go plug adapter. For a few bucks, it saves headaches, and butchering the wiring in case you want to re-install old one later when trading in or selling the car.

could be a wiring problem but there arent any fuses involved in speaker connections......try checking the wiring to the speakers....but also could be internal amplifier....may need to be replaced does it make any crackle or pop when you first turn the radio on?
