I have a brake light switch that keeps the brake lamps on whether the brk switch button is pushed in or out when it is screwed into proper bracket location next to bk pedal, but turns brake lights on when button is released and off when button is pushed in when removed from bracket and replugged to wire connector. Must be grounding out on bracket even though continuity check with meter shows no continuity from probes on back of brake switch to metal body of brake light switch? Bought a new brake light switch and it does the same? Very strange - Thinking of fixing problem with teflon tape etc to stop grounding of brake light switch when screwed into hole. I made certain I pushed brake switch button all the way in and out when in bracket. Any ideas why this is happening?
