You need a special tool to hold the harmonic balancer with while you break the center bolt loose. Once loose, should wiggle off.

Wanting to replace the timing belt on a 95 accord with V-Tec 2.2 engine. How do you get the plastic guard over the harmonic balancer without pulling?

You are not able to.... it must come off.... The harmonic balancer keeps the belt in a groove so it can't jump time.... use a good impact to get off the balancer....

How do i remove the old harmonic balancer on a 1994 honda accord lx

First, look at the direction the balancer turns. Remove the belts. Put the proper sized socket on the balancer bolt and, install a breaker bar into the socket. Make sure the bar is at the side of the engine compartment, where the top of the balancer rotates toward. Next, BUMP THE KEY but DO NOT crank the engine. When the bar contacts the wall or other object, it will stop, allowing the engine to continue and break the bolt loose.

Harmonic balancer - honda 2.2 liter

hey
Remove the bolt in the crankshaft then use a puller to remove the rest of the balancer. Sometimes they come off without a puller.
