Jeep cherokee sport,engine wont start unless worm.

check fuel pressure you said no fuel spray at injectors

The first thing i would check is the fuel system hook a fuel pressure gauge up to the fuel rail and check the fuel pressure, after you have verified the fuel pressure is good let the gauge sit and monitor how much "bleed down" occurs if the bleed down is out of spec i would bet the fuel pressure regulator is bad or theres a leaking fuel injector causing fuel to drip into 1 or more of the cylinders causing a rich condition at startup.

Check Fuel pump seal at top of tank. Check carbon canister to see if it full of fuel and or carbon. You will have to disconnect the hoses to it and tip it upside down. Plugged evap hoses from tank to engine. Leaking fuel injector.

Do a major tune up,and use a good fuel injector clean like lucas fuel treatment.If this was helpful,please rate thank you.

One or more of:

1. Your coolant level is low
2. Your thermostat doesn't close and needs to be replaced
3. The valve from the cooling system to the heater core is stuck
4. Your heater core is clogged

Check the gas you have filled up with, check compression on cylinder head, if deisel then check that the injectors aren't blocked and the heater plugs are warming..... hope this helps

is it diesel engine?if so chech ur heater plugs

did you try to check the spark plugs or the coil its seemd to me its a week firing some where try to make tune up then let me know whats happend thanx

Crank or cam sensor probably as plugs bad plugs would start but miss the sensor will either give a start or no start condition and on 1 truck the crank sensor went out and it would run cold but miss like crazy when warm,I work in a chyrsler shop and have never seen that happen and even a scan tool didn't pick it up.

i had the same problem with my 2001 Cherokee Sport i replaced the battery and now it runs fine.
