check all your fuses to make sure you didnt burn out the main one.
it sounds like the car has an aftermarket alarm or the bmw immobilizer alarm. see if there are any relays that are not original mounted under the driver's knee plate and connect to the heavy gauge red wire which goes to the starter relay soleniod.
