Question about 2001 Hyundai XG300

1 Answer

I have a 2001 xg 300 and now for over a year, the airbag light has been on. What's the deal?? I can't afford to take it to a dealer, I am ASE certified myself, I just want to know how to reset the light and find out if I have fixed the problem.

You have to fix the problem to reset the light. You need to have the dealers computer to find the problem. Could be an airbag bad, a bad clock spring, bad pre tensioners. If it has rear and side curtain, just add to the list.

buy the $1000 scan tool? (or more, most scan tools do not cover bags or ABS) (only pro level tool$)
or go to any ASE shop
or dealer
or read all pages in the FSM covering SRS.
or read at alldata.com

Check engine light, AWD and slippery light on. i took my car to lexus dealer they scanned it. fater i got home from the dealer the light came back on. brought the car back they found code that they don't...

what year , what car, what country, wow@!
its magic, even the dealer can fix magic. see?
find a local ASE certified mechanic.
some will even drive the car 1 day, to see what it is doing.
you can not fix this , just as 1 shot deal.
its a moving problem.
keep in mind , ABS issues can make traction controls fail.

if DIY?
go to alldata.com and read it.
its all there. and what to do, what to test.
etc.
this is also in the FSM, buy one. (factory service manual)
with out this , its all just guessing the magic.
also (all calls step 1)
read the TSB ,first. see abs or traction or awd, or related TSB.
read that firsts.
this is the first step taught in all ASE schools.
may be the car needs a flash upgrade.? who, know? no year stated.
