The crank sensor is in the top of bell housing of the transmission towards the back of the engine compartment. The cam sensor is built into the distributor.

Verify you have spark, those are known to have issues with the camshaft sensor in the distributor. I have put 2 distributors in my daughter's 97 sebring jxi, did the same thing.

Have you ever replaced the timing belt?? If not the problem is likely to be a loose worn out timing belt. A floppy belt will play havoc with the sensor signals and trigger a check engine light and a camshaft sensor code.

this sensor is located in the front of the motor near the crank shaft balancer, or in the rear by the cylinder head where the transmission meets the engine.

No spark,1999 chrysler sebring,2.5 engine

Hi There is only 2 areas that would cause this. The ignition control module or the crank angle and camshaft sensor.
You will need to run a diagnostic check to insure that this is the problem areas.
