Question about 1996 Dodge Dakota

Hinge on passenger seat of extended cab 1995 Dakota is broken

The hinge on the passenger seat of an extended cab is supposed to have a latch that is released by sliding the button upward on the back of the seat. Mine is worn to where the release won't work. you have to force the seat forward to get the seat back to come forward to access the rear jump seat. Dodge dealers no longer carry this part. I have been unsuccessful at junk yards and on E-bay. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Passenger door on driver's side won't latch

Inspect and lubricate latch. If it has a broken spring inside, latch may have to be replaced. This is unlikely as the driver's door is the one that usually gets the most use. Check for something preventing door from shutting all the way, such as bad weather stripping, body damage, bad hinge or seat belt in the jamb-ha ha.

I have a 1995 dodge dakota. I need to replace driver side door. Need to know how to take door off properly. Need diagram or something. HELP.

Removal & Installation
  1. Matchmark the hinge-to-body and hinge-to-door locations. Support the door either on jackstands or have somebody hold it for you.

  2. Remove the lower hinge-to-door bolts.

  3. Remove the upper hinge-to-door bolts and lift the door off the hinges.

  2. Install the door and hinges with the bolts finger-tight.

How do you adjust doors on a 2007 2500 extended cab dodge

If the door is not latching properly, a torx drive bit will fit into the latch pin itself and you can move it a little further outward. If the door is sagging (don't quote me on this, i'm not real familiar with the model), you may be able to loosen the hinges and lift the door, you may have to replace the hinge pins, or the hinge altogether.

Water in floorboard after every rain. 95 Dakota

the windshield could be leaking behind the dash,a good way to check is put the fan of the heater on,hot or cold and get a solution of soapy water and apply to the outer edges of the windshield and look for bubbles.

My driver seat back snapped and will no longer stay in the upright position. The bottom (****) part operates fine.

There is a pin near the hinge that is supposed to catch and then latch your seat into an upright position. If this has come loose, simply engage it again and tighten it. If it is broken, you'll be looking to take to the shop and either get it wielded (not with the trouble and in some states reputable shops won't do it for crash test safety reasons) or have the seat replaced (the best and safest option).

1995 Chevy suburban back door hinges too stiff

Lubricate the hinge or the hinge will have to be replaced.. I recommend wd40 first, then a finger tip amount of grease on top of hinge pin. the oil from the grease will keep the hinge constantly lubricated. It's not too late.
