I'm getting everything from try key to lock & unlock door, to removing #19 fuse or fuse labeled -IOD, for 1/2 hour & try, to have it towed to dealer & the scan tool has to be hooked up & done that way. This seems to be a common occurrence on many vehicle types, not just Chrysler. It is beyond me that thorough & precise instructions are not at least made available to owners. I'll keep digging, in the meantime, maybe grab your manual & call the customer service number in it for assistance & see what they have to say.

Another one is try extra key they gave you when purchased, on doors, lock, unlock etc, then ignition.

Believe it or not, most call dealer & they have instructions on proper procedure, like it's a big secret.

Let me know how it goes, thanks for reply.

Where is the oil pressure sensor located in a 2005 crysler 300

The oil sensor is behind the alternator. You have to remove the alternator and it is right there! Disconnect the negative post on battery first! You'll need a 1-1/16th deep socket

Battery won't stay charged but the alternator is working good?

If the alternator is charging properly, then you have a drain on the system that could come from anything eclectically powered, you will need to start by removing the fuse to the radio and/or clock, then connect a test light from the negative post on the battery to the battery cable (negative battery cable disconnected positive connected), if the light comes on, you have a drain and will need to start pulling and replacing fuses one by one to isolate the affected system, if the test light has not gone off while pulling fuses, you may have a drain coming from the alternator or starter and will have to disconnect those.

Reset malfunction indicator engine light 2005 300

disconnect the battery negative cable for a few minutes, or look in the owners manual for fuse location and remove the ECM (engine control module, or engine computer) fuse. If you have an issue that is chronic, however, the light may come right back (disconnected harness to the Mass Air Flow sensor, for example).
