Look under the seat and first see if something is jammed under it.... and that the wire that moves with the lever is intact. different instructions if that is a power seat.

Rear seat on my Note won't fold down. When I pull the handle up nothing happens. Any ideas?

Are we talking about Nissan Notes here? I have the same problem with my 2006 Note where the larger of the 2 split seats in the rear won't fold down. It doesn't have any side latches or boot straps and yanking it hard doesn't work either. I can't see any options other than complete removal of the whole rear seat assemby.

I cant flip the seat forward to let someone out of the back. I was told that it was a mercury lever. Any suggestions?

If the handle on left side pulling up doesn't do it, try leaning back in the seat first, then pull the handle and lean forward while pulling handle up and see if seat back comes forward.

The seats in my truck do not lock when tilting front to back

Try pulling the side handle near the outside of the seat and holding it in the place you want it and only using the handle on the back to move the seat forward and back into the locked position you set it in. If you pull the side handle every time it will reset the position you had it set for.

2006 Ford Explorer: Back seat won't fold flat to create flat cargo area. It folds down but not flush.

Okay so im just going to start from the seat being upright in a normal riding position.

1. You need to fold the head rests first. Pull the black tab under both headrests. They should spring into a folded position.

2. pull the side seat lever (on the door side of the seat). This will fold the top/back support down to an angle.

3. There is one more lever on the backside of this seat. Its in plain sight on the angled portion of your seat. Lift the big plastic lever.

4. While keeping the handle lifted, grasp the back of the seat and pull it torwards the front of the car. The seat should come unlocked and roll forward and down more towards the floor. If you have a bunch of junk on the floor, it obviously wont work. clear the path and the seat will fold completely flat.

Also, your drivers seat and front passenger seat cannot be all the way back, they need to come forward some in order for the second row seats' head rests to clear and fold flat.

How do I remove the middle bucket seats?

Do they have a "T" like handle in front under seat? If so, lift handle and pull it forward to unlatch. Then lift seat slightly and slide it back to release rear catches. Hopefully they are still same as my 99.

Kia Sedona seat stuck

Got it, with the help and eyes of my wife. The rear latch releases as the seat back is lowered. This release is ALMOST seat back down (about 3 inches above the seat bottom). As the seat back lowers, apply constant lift on the rear latch, and it will release as the seat back lowers. Hard-won knowledge - I think I invented some bad words in the process.

1990 Grand caravan rear seat removal

Assuming that you don't have Stow & Go, follow these directions:
At the base and back of the seat, on both sides, is a handle. The handle acts like a trigger grip. When you press on the handle with your fingers and push down with your palm, a small tab will pop up. That is the sign that you are doing this correctly. Do this to one side and then the other. Before you start pressing triggers though, grasp the handle on the right side of the seat near the seat bottom ( different handle between the seat and side panel) and pull it back toward the rear of the van, that will allow the seat back to fold forward. This will get it out of way so you can maneuver the seat better.

Once you have both triggers sprung, the seat will lift up and out of the seat tracks so you can pull it out the back. It is a two person job unless you want to flop it out and scratch the rear bumper. If you're relatively able-bodied with a good back and can handle a very awkward load, go for it solo.

I have owned 4 of these vans and the seating is very reliable, but make very sure that when you put the seats back in that you get them in the tracks correctly. Don't do this at night unless you have a flashlight to ensure that you are lining the seat up correctly - you've got too much riding on the outcome.
