Question about 1993 Lincoln Continental
It started last night it just stopped. I thought it was my battery so I replaced it and its not that. I can keep it started in Park but when I go to put it in Drive it cuts off. I can also drive it for a short distance and then it will stop. Also I never know how much gas I have in my tank because it will say full but I only put 10 in my tank and I smell gas a lot
May be the fuel pump relay. I had this problem with my 83 Grand Marquis. Look on the drivers side fender wall and look for 2 square relays side by side. They run about $25-35 each at Ford. I was told that they should both be replaced at the same time. One controls the electronic ignition and the other is the fuel pump relay. Hope this helps. As far as the fuel tank always reading full, I would think it is the float in the fuel tank or you have a loose wire.
