Mine has just crapped out too. It's well hidden in the center console at the top, near the hazard flasher switch. I've got some of the plastic bits apart with lots of "extra" plastic tabs pinging all over the car (when I come to put it all back together I'll thank god for glue). I'll keep you informed as I go.

Looks like the flasher relay is in the hazard switch assembly. A couple of tabs hold the prettry faux wood decorative plate in. You edge these out from underneath with a couple of small screwdrivers. I found it easier to remove the radio/CD unit (but remember you need the 4-digit code to re-enliven it). My plate shot off along with the switch covers and ashtray cover. (I think I've found most of them). Next you edge out the hazard switch assembly from its bottom. The cheapest place to get a new $30 assembly was accessoriesgiant.com (probably made in Mexico, along with the $60 OEM part).

This was a help. To replace my 2003 A6 flasher unit (the hazrd flasher including the turning signal flasher unit - which had stopped working) I was able to remove the faux wood panel by using two screwdrivers inserted at the right hand side and popping the panel straight out and then the left hand side. The securing clips are 3 on top and bottom that need to be carefully aligned when replacing the panel.

Turn signals not working audi a6 2002

turn signal switch most likely. But it could have a faulty flasher relay. the signals and the hazards probably have seperate flasher relays and possibly on different circuits so check fuses as well

Lights work but the blinkers do no work

Hi tharill,
Have you checked the fuses....If you have and it's not blown, try the bulbs....If they're ok, try the flasher unit and the cables that go to and from that unit....If it's not any of these let me know so that we can go deeper into the problem
