I always suspect flooding if after a longer trip an engine acts this way.
You are probably back on the road but if this happens again, try pressing slowly down on the accelerator pedal and hold it down all the way while cranking. This allows more air to enter and can dry out wet plugs fairly quickly.

Car won't fire

check your fuses as a start then check relays and then fuel pressure because the filter could have only 1000 miles on it and have problems with it and it could also be the coil pack died on it .

Lost power to engine

Check make sure all plugs are firing. Sounds like what my 93 Rodeo was doing-Idled okay but very rough when in gear. Turns out only 5 out of 6 plugs were firing due to a defective ignition module- 100 bucks later it works fine.

Hope this helps.

I was driving into town, stopped at the stop sign at the end of my street, and when I hit the gas off the stop sign, the truck died. After 10 minutes or so of trying to start the truck, it fired up. Every...

It still could be the fuel pump. Sometimes they don't just quit outright. Go to the vehicle. Reach through the open driver's side window. Turn the key forward to the run position. Listen toward the rear of the vehicle for the fuel pump to prime. It should sound like a humming noise that should last a couple seconds and stop. If you don't hear anything it's your fuel pump.

Golf 1.9 tdi wont start :-(

Sounds like you have a bad glow plug relay that could cause a power spike and drain your battery,it could also take away power to the fuel pump causing the loss of power.Hope this helps you out some!!

OXYGEN SENSOR OR FUEL PUMP?

Change the fuel filter, check the fuel pressure, then pull the tank and replace the pump if the pressure is below spec.

The crank and cam sensor's are very common problems on these jeeps. Check them or have someone check them with a scanner. one or both are most likley the problem.

My 2003 Hyundai Elantra Starts by then Dies, as though it's not getting gas.

No! If you can start it right back up I seriously doubt it but you do ablsolutely need to change fuel filters every 15,000 miles and forget about oil changes they do nothing for the car. But a plugged fuel filter will kill a fuel pump and average cost of a gob like that here in Seattle is around $500-700.
But you need to find that leak and fix it you can be loosing enough fuel pressure through that leak to cause a problem like yours.
Please rate me as a fixya! Thank you Randy
