Question about 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee
It is most likely the security or the engine idle solenoid. Try getting out of the car, lock and unlock, from the driver door or rear hatch with the key. Then get back in and try turning it over. If it still won't stay on. I would try the engine idle solenoid. It fixed the problem for me.
