It turns over like maybe a dead battery (but the battery is fully charger) If that does not help please email me back.

That would act up only when it has been warmed up. Because it starts right up when it is cold.

Sounds like a failing starter motor to me, pull it and have kragen or autozone test it, it is free

starter's that are going out always are worse when the engine is hot, slow crank is a common symptom.

1986 ranger 2 . 9 5 speed stuts down an will not restart let the truck sit for bout a hour an it will restart like nothing is wrong

I would say it is the coil. A coil is what it says. A coil of copper wire. When it gets warm or hot, it expands. When it expands the copper wire inside breaks connection. When it cools back down it shrinks back and makes connection again. Then it will start.

Good Luck! I hope this helps! If so PLEASE vote! Thanks!

I had a truck that acted similar and it turned out being the coil! It ran fine on idle but once it warmed up it missed and had trouble starting. Good Luck!!

86 Ford F350 Cold Start Problem

Does it have a carburetor or is it fuel injected? In 1986 it could be either way. It sounds like a carburetor with a choke problem.
