the starter does nothing, it seems the ignition signal is not leaving the steering column'.that's why i"m wondering if there is a saftey switch somewhere.the starter does nothing, it seems the ignition signal is not leaving the steering column'.that's why i"m wondering if there is a saftey switch somewhere.

Won't start how ? You put the key in the ignition an turn the key to start ,what happens ? Does the starter engage an spin the engine but doesn't start or it does nothing ? When you turn the key on do the lights in the instrument cluster light - check engine , ABS , battery , SRS - air bags , ? If you can't supply more details your best bet mite be to take it to a quailfied repair shop.
Then the problem is likely the ignition switch, or the neutral safety switch. Try jamming it into park a couple of times to see if it helps. If it does, you will need to change the neutral safety. If it doesnt, probably going to need an ignition switch. Those trucks, jimmys, and blazers are famous for ignition switch problems.
I had the same exact thing happen to me, I have a 97 blazer and after hours of screwing around with it and several different options... it turned out to simply be the ignition switch.
are you sure the pump you installed is not defective it does happen more than you can believe. If you can run a power to the pump hot line or jump the relay and have a ear to hear if it is pumping, this is what I would suggest.. Good luck
youve got to remove the steering wheel, take the locking mecanism off, then the mecanism for the signal lights off....whitch should only have a few screws.....then where the ignition switch is.....you should see a screw that looks like it goes through the switch..remove that then give the ignition switch a tug or two and it should come out
I'm no expert but you might replace either the motor or the actuator... i'd replace the actuator first though because i have heard of this problem alot with electronic transfer cases on the blazer series... and it might not be too bad of an idea to check the fluid in the transfer case.. i too have a 1994 s10 Blazer but i have yet to have an issue with the 4-wheel drive
