Question about 2004 Volvo S60
I can't get my sunroof to close. my message board says my alarm service needs to be serviced? What's wrong
Most likely the alarm siren module has failed. The alarm module is wired in series with the sunroof module. If the alarm siren fails (and it does) it will take the sunroof module offline with it.
What I would do is to unplug the module and cycle the key. If it is the siren module the sunroof will work. If it still doesn't work then it could be a wiring problem and would need to be taken to a trusted shop for repairs.
Here is a link to a website that will show detailed instructions on how to remove the alarm module.
After the module is disconnected you may need to reinitilize the UEM. Get in the car and shut the door.
For most you can turn the key on and off, then lock and unlock the car with the remote.
For others just lock and unlock the car three times.
I hope this helps.

Hi there "mjones" I am having the same problem and I know it is because of a the failure of the alarm siren module. Where you say "Wahat I wouls do is to unplug the module and cycle the key" you mean to unplug the sunroof module or the alarm siren module? I would appreciate your feedback.
