Sound like a dirty intake/Throttle body try cleaning with INTAKE CLEANER. To clean take off intake hose and spay throttle body wiping with rag clean throttle flap/butter fly hold open by stepping on gas pedal or manually holding open with cable. clean thoroughly and wipe clean. this should take care of the problem. Also check air filter make sure it clean. Contact if you need more help. Good Luck

SOURCE: My Nissan Titan dies going down the road. Usually

Check the fuel pump; if it is bad replace it IMMEDIATELY. If the fuel pump is failing (which would cause your problem) then the engine will run lean. This will ruin your catalyic converters and cause the intake and exhaust valves to be open at the same time... this causes cataylst to **** into the engine and ruin it. I know. It happened to me.

SOURCE: Truck just stops b- 2005 Ford F150 80,000 miles

I had the same issue i changed the fuel fillter it was a little dirty but not bad. Still had problem then i cleaned out the throtel it worked good for a while. Ended up replacing the throtel its about $250 if you do it yourself which is not hard to do. The problem is the electronic throtel control but you have to replace the whole thing not sold seperatly hope that helps. Been running great did that 15,000 miles ago.

What could be causing a 04 ford explorer xlt to be grinding when turning left, acts like auto 4x4 trying to kick in, any ideas what the problem could be?

the problem you describe seems to be a symptom of dirt or dammage in the autolocking hub system , you will need to dissasemble to see what the cause is any further , this might be a good place to say what i allways tell my fellow 4x4 folks if your gonna drive thru Mud/sand/dirty water then make it a point to carry a jug or two of fresh water with you and after reaching clean road again use this water to flush out seals in front and behind your front tires you'll save your self a bunch of worries down the road

Could it be the fuel pump?

Thanks YellowFury, it might be, will check the fuel pressure and since the fuel pump may not have ever been replaced, may need a new one. Checking the computer tonight, finally bought the truck and had it brought it home on a trailer, didn't want to risk it breaking down. Sometimes computers will cause the vehicle to stop, however, computers don't usually allow the vehicle to start up again. Didn't find any vacuum leaks and it doesn't overheat at all, will keep checking. Thanks again for your suggestion.

2004 Nissan Maxima Intermittent Transmission Problem?

I don't know exactly how the nissans work with their "limp" mode for what gear it goes into and such. This sounds like the computer is sensing a problem and going into the "limp" mode. Go get the code pulled to see what is says. If it has anything saying trans slipping or ratio problem then something internal in the the trans is wrong. Also, check the trans fluid and see if its burnt ( dark brown or black).
