Question about Ford Ranger
How do you change a freeze plug on a 2000 ford focus zx3..what do you have to remove to reach it?? thank you!!
The easiest way to remove it is to use a flat or small round drift pin punch. Just catch the edge of the freeze plug and tap it until it turns sideways. Then reach in with some pliers and grab it and remove it. If you can get a brass plug to replace it do so. The brass plugs last longer. The steel plugs rust out sooner. Good luck. They are usually in a hard place to reach. Improvise and use lots of patience. You will get it out.
