I have VW 2002 TDI
I drive the c out of Garage and park it in front of my house.
few minutes later i come to start it .engine turns like normal starting but car does not start.
It looks like there is no fuel. .I let the car sit for few hours and come and start it again it works.
It looks like solenoid valve which close the fuel is not getting its signal to open
I live in Ont Canada. what could cause this problem

It sounds like the injectors are blocked. the reason i say this is because the bottom of the tank is full of durt and it must have got through when it was low in diesel.
You need to get the car scanned, if the code p1517 comes up then the injectors are block for sure.
this is a common problem for these cars glow plugs go bad like spark plugs however the smoke would lead to bad mass airflow meter. it is not telling ecu corrcet miss. disconnect mass airflow meter. when cold see if this makes it start better. it should would means you need new m.a.f. glow plug issue take a test light place clamp on positive of battery then pull off glow plug connectors place tip of test light on glow plug the bad one will have a dull light unlike the good one which will be brighter. will need new plugs and wire harness four **** connectors and wire striper and crimper will fix concern good luck
To get the car out of park you have to put the shifter right in between neutral and drive and as soon as the car starts put it in drive. Keep your foot on the brake obviously. You can go to Reversve once you get the car started and in DRive.
this is going to sound nuts but its true.if your brakelight switch is defective that light will flash.
see if you brake lights are working.if it is automatic trans you will notice the shifter will not always release when you depress brake pedal.
if its not brakelight switch get it autoscaned with a VAG.com
Try moving the fan blades by hand to see if the fan spins freely to see
if the problem is frozen bearings in the fan motor. Replace the fan
motor if it doesn't turn. If it spins freely disconnect the wires and
hook the fan directly to the battery using a jumper. If it runs the
problem is most likely the thermostatic switch. If it doesn't the fan
motor is bad.
