1978 chev motorhome brakes are hard to push down to stop

If they are standard power brakes, check the vacuum booster. The diaphragm may be broken. If it holds a vacuum it's OK. If the brakes run through the power steering pump, make sure the belt is tight and the steering is smooth.

95 gmc jimmy transfercase is working but not locking front hubs what could the problem be?

There is a vacuum switch that is located just above the drive shaft that comes out of the transfer case that usually goes bad. Also check and make sure the vacuum lines are all good. They go to the actuator which is located under the battery box.The vacuum switch is just a plunger type. You can remove it with a 7/8 wrench I believe. You should be able to push the plunger in with your fingers and it should push in and out fairly easy. What usually happens is it sticks in.The vacuum line connector attaches to this switch. There are 3 vacuum lines on this connector.Hope this helps.Let me know if you need more help.Good luck.
