The CV joint boots? Hah.. if you've never done it before get a mechanic to do it. You'll just run into more and more problems if you mess up. There's more to it then just replacing the boot. You'll also need to check the cv joints for damage and repack them with high pressure grease.

Clonking noise when turning the steering wheel back & fro or left to right

You have a bad cv joint. It could be either the left one, or the right one, the only way to know for sure is to look for a busted boot on the cv axle. The affected axle will need to be replaced.

My 1994 toyota camry lex left axel cv bost is repture, my mechanic suggesting me to replace the left axel instead just do the cv bost. Any suggestion?

if the cv joint boot cover is bad then you might have got dirt or road dust in there.
I would replace the half shaft or left axle would only cost a little more for new axle.
and be safer.
also check the right side it might be do also.
can do one at a time because of money.

I need to remove my front axel on my 1989 toyota camry

Jack up car and apply e-brake. car will roll if one of the front tires leaves the ground. remove tire , spindal nut and lower ball joint bolts. remove axle from hub then use a prybar to pop it out of trans. the passenger side will have a braket holding axle to engine , remove bolts from braket or squeeze snap-ring to rmove axle from braket.

The boot on my left hand side of the power steering rack had ripped how do i get the steering rack of the 1989 toyota camry

are you talking about the drivers side trans-axle? if you are then it is the CV boot that is ripped, it is easier to replace the axle. Loosen lug nuts, jack car up, place on jack stands, remove tire, remove and suspend brake caliper, remove rotor, I believe it is like a 1 inch and 1/4 socket to remove the wheel bearing nut, the CV joint can be pushed through and then removed. Hope this helped

My dad wants to know if the seal on the cv joint can be fixed

not worth the effort, the joint is probably worn anyway, the whole axle shaft only costs probably 80 bucks remanufactured compared to 30 bucks for a boot kit you have to dismantle the axle to install with special tools anyway.
