Why won't my 1998 mitsubishi eclipse rs start?

    and i already checked my starter and it was good and also the ignition switch, fuses, and fuse box

    Is it getting fuel? If you can pull the outlet line off the fuel filter and turn it over a couple times to see if fuel comes out.

no back-firing or anything like that. Double check firing order and how about your plugs/in good shape? How old is the plug wiring? Does the Eclipse have cam senors? If so, I would check them.

Check my solution for the Chrysler Sebring door handle problem. The Sebring, Avenger and Eclipse are very similar since the Chrysler cars are built on a Mitsubishi Galant platform using many parts that are identical to the Eclipse of the same years.

The relay is located in the relay box under the hood in the relay box. I suggest you Google "relay location 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse" for the exact location. For troubleshooting purposes, once you locate the relay, simply swap it with an identical relay within the relay box. If it still fails to start, then it is not the relay.

You would need to check the wiring and fuses to see if anything is blown or melted. The warning light is for both hydraulic brakes and the charging system.
In your case the light probably came on because the alternator stopped charging the battery.
