How do I get my stereo working? My battery died and now I think it needs a code, but it's not the original radio.

wow no symptoms. no sound sure, but in a/m f./m , cassette, or CD and or USB port (MP3) are all dead too>? and is the dial dead TOO>? 100% dead, is that it? ill assume !00%
factory radio have password codes , never aftermarket radios.
so???
ask kenwood, the answer is NO !
your operators guide (jeep) is useless for swapped in radios.

how?, is super easy and 10x on a bench.
no matter.
there is but one 1 wire for power, (on all aftermarket radios) this is a standard, RED wire, must have 12vdc, (ever use a simple voltmeter)?
if radio case and black wire is grounded. are they'
if yes the radio is DOA.

some DOA radios (10000s of models made in 40 years)
have fuses inside or in back of radio, look on back first.
if you seen nothing there, it got none.
open lid, see fuses inside,?

How do I change a starter

Remove the battery's negative terminal

Take note of wiring connections on starter, then disconnect it's wiring.
Take out the two location bolts, and then remove the starter.
Installation is the reverse of those instructions.

Note: Before removing the battery negative lead, turn off any alarm systems and be sure you know any security codes for the stereo if it requires any as you will reset it and will need the codes to boot it up again. If you are not sure if it requires any code, then you will need to provide a separate battery power to the stereo by splicing into it's power and earth leads before disconnecting the main battery.

The battery in my 2004 honda accord died. I got a jump and now the stereo won't operate and the clock just flashes. What do I do?

You have to put in the code for the radio, it is usually on a card in your owners manual. whenever you replace a battery, or disconnect it the code has to be entered. same thing happened to me.

My battery died and now that I put a new battery my stereo is stuck on a safe mode, how do I unlock it?

You should have a code that came with the owners manual to put in the stereo, if not you`ll have to call dealer for instructions.

I own a Mitsubushi/Galant, battery died and was replaced. The radio requires a code and I am unable to remove the radio...what should I do????? All I need is the code and instructions as to how to enter?

Hi, the only place you can get the code from is the main dealers the problem is you have to take the car to them as they wont give the code out over the phone in case the stereo is stolen. So it is a pain their is no where else you can get this code from as they never publish them anywhere but the plus side is they dont usually charge for this.

But before you go their have you checked the owners manaul as if the car has had work done on it before and had the battery removed then you might find someone has got the code before and if they were though full they would have writ it down in the owners manual if not then the only option would be to go to main dealers. Make sure you write this code down in case you need it in the future ok.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Not unless it was written down in there by the oridginal purchaser so you will have to write VIN# down and phone the dealer and they will be able to give you the code along with how to do this also it must be a factory sterio hope this helps
