Some cars,MBnz,have it where the gear selector connects to (under console where gearshift goes). I'd go to the dealer and ask parts' man to show you it then you may see how it works.. Some cars have it where the reverse position of the gear shaft,on transmission, makes contact to the reverse light switch. I'd start with dealer parts' man. Hope this helps. Alberto
That code is Intermittent loss of camshaft positon sensor OR crankshaft position sensor. It would suggest to me that perhaps there is dirt obstructing the signal or possiblr wiring problems. A loose connection, corrosion, perhaps a bare spot on a wire. I'd check this stuff carefully before I started spending on new sensors. Hope this helps.
Next time this happens leave the key in the on position, open the hood and lift the fuel solenoid link (between the fuel solenoid and the injection pump) up. If it stays up the truck will start and run. The solenoid is shot but that might be a symptom of set of bad starter contacts.
the switch that controls the cool to hot well theres a wire that runs behide it and it runs to a little trap door that opens and closes in front of the heater core under your passanger side dash follow the wire and c if it is broken or if it has become disconnected
check if the fan works first, simple run a wire from the battery post positive to the positve wire on the fan if it starts then it works, next step clip the wires on the fan and conect the ground on good metal and the positive on ur fuse box,but not on any fuse, only on the fuse that turns on with the ignition,.
