I have a 1990 Buick Skylark, I am having problems with it backfiring in the throttle body and also have low gas mileage. I am only getting about 13 miles to the gallon. I have changed to plugs and wires. Also put on a new oxygen sensor.

What motor does it have? If it is the quad four, you probably need to replace everything under the cover. If it is the 2.5, check your firing order/timing.

There could the dirt in the engine carburetor please clean it or the the engine is getting rich ,or the on board computer may be faulty in the car or the wiring of the spark plug is defective get it checked ..............................
Does it also get poor gas mileage? The cam sensor may be the problem. The common problem is the magnet in the cam falls out, the ECM puts the engine in a mode that it will run but the timing is off usually causes bad gas mileage and could cause backfire.
If you add gas to the throttle body, does it start?
If so, then you have a fuel pump delivery problem in this vehicle.
If it doesn't start, then you may have a spark problem at the spark plugs due to a coil pack going bad or a module (but you said you changed the module).
Also, is this a 1995 Buick LeSabre of a 1993 Buick Skylark (which it is listed under)? What engine size is this?
SHOOT STARTING FLUID IN TO THE THROTTLE BODY, NOT TOO MUCH,BECAUSE IT WILL BACK FIRE, UNTIL IT STAYS RUNNING, IF THIS DOESN'T FIX THE PROBLEM, THEN FIND THE GAS TANK AND BANG IT WITH A RUBBER MALLET, NOT TO HARD, JUST ENOUGH TO SHAKE THE TANK.
If you have EFI your jets could be clogged and need to be cleaned. Also with the erratic idle it might be your Throttle Position Sensor. The only other things i can think of are your Catalyc Converter and with the cutting off your Fuel Pump. If you don't have EFI and if you are not familiar with carbuerators I would recomend having it checked.
If both the MAF and 02 have been replaced, try the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) also check for vacuum leaks. the hoses that come out of the throttle body are very vulnerable to melt from heat.
