Re: po605 internal transmission tcm mulfunction dvd
Do not walk, RUN from that repair shop. A PO605 reading is "PCM read only memory test error". There is no way a problem in your DVD player would result in a "check engine" light. Take the van by Autozone, Advance Auto, Pep Boys, O'Reily's or other retail store and have them run the fault codes on the OBD-2 computer to find out why the light is coming on. If you are having trouble with the DVD player, go by a stereo/video shop.

P0605-------- Internal control module read only memory (ROM) Error
Have the computor checked.
P0700-------- Transmission control system
Better take it to a transmission shop and have that checked so they can pinpoint the problem.
Its the TCM- Replace the Transmission Control Module. WITH THE DRBIII PERFORM QUICK LEARN AND REPROGRAM PINION FACTOR. The transmission Control Module (TCM) is located behind the passenger fender and is fastened to the frame rail forward of the suspension. Here is a picture of it...
P0700 indicates the transmission control module has a code in it. That code is P0605 which indicates a TCM internal memory error. While the TCM would probably be the leading suspect you can't rule out other possibilities like corroded connections, etc.
The P0605 is an internal failure in the transmission controller. This
code sets when the tcm fails one of its internal self tests, and i think the
only repair is to replace the module. P0700 is transmission control system malfunction
I dont think reflashing will help this, the first thing that comes to mind is the output speed sensor, i would replace the sensor and reset the codes and go from there, the out put speed sensor can make all this codes come up, the po720 is the out sensor, when this goes bad the trany doesnt know when to shift gear at the right time so if it shifts at the wrong time you get the other codes like the po732 2nd gear error or po605 internal trans controller, replace the sensor first and see what happens after that, good luck and hope this helps.
p0700 is a generic trans. code, so the problem if it is in the trans. would require further trans diag. so i would scan trans specific codes first. but in most cases when a chrysler tells you it is an internal controller fault you can believe it. just make sure which controller it is telling you has a fault!
