Question about 1995 Nissan Maxima
Jnuttz99: The ECM is located to where you access it on the passenger's side of the car. You remove the center console cover under cover, remove the harness protector and them you can remove the ECM.
The car is OBD2 and the ALDL port is in the fuse panel opening at the top of the opening. The fuse panel is to the left of your steering wheel and is a rectangular cover in the lower panel you see in front of you left knee. Just pull on it and it will come off. You will see a grey plastic connector about 1 1/2 inches wide by 1/2 high. You can get the car scanned by Auto Zone for free, so you don't have to go through the trials of figuring out how to decipher the codes. Once they have told you the codes stored, get back to me and I'll see what I can do for you. There should be no reason to access or remove the ECM.
