double check the brakelight limit switch on the brake pedal. Have you verified there is power to that switch?

It may be out of place, or faulty.

What is wrong with your vehicle if the abs light is on.

ABS light is the Anti-lock Brakes. the most common cause for the light is wheel speed sensor. These are fairly inexpensive and easy to change, but the only way to know what the error is, is to have the computer scanned by a tool that is able to talk to the ABS module. This will tell you what the issue is, and if it is just a speed sensor...it will tell you which one.

My 97 Chevy Blazer has spongy brakes. Master cylinder was replaced and brake booster was replaced. Braked lines were bled and brakes are still spongy. Can anyone help?

you must have air trapped in the system still, dont drive this car until this problem is fixed, please, for safety reasons. if you dont know how to bleed the brakes have a professional do the work. the fluid might have been contaminated and should be totally reserviced, DOT 3 fluid or better.
can you rate this!

No brake lights

Sounds like it is your brake light switch which is located on the brake pedal itself.  Should cost around $20 at autozone and is pretty easy to change out yourself.  Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

Brake light dont work

check the fuse for the brake lights. The brake lights and siganl lights use the same bulb filament. The parking and running lights use a dimmer filament in the bulb. There are 2 filaments.
Your brake lights work through the multifunction switch which operates the signal lights. If the signal lights work, you may have a bad brake lamp switch which is on your brake pedal arm.
Let us know what you find.

4-ways,signal and brake lights dont work

Canadian, The switch will run you $150 ( non cruise control ) to $250 ( with cruise control). Then what ever labor rates are in you area could run $80 to $180 to replace.
Hope this helps.
By the way, why do you believe the switch is bad?
Let me know.

S-10 brake & tail lights going not working & then start to work

I had a similar issue with my rear tale light. Could be a loose wire.
I found if I hit a bump it would come back on.
