    yes the tail lights work...does that indicate a short/loose wire somewhere?

    okay, we took the lights out as they just slide in....should I just buy some more at this point? Or is there a smart way to handle the problem...thank you for the help and your grace.

    no it indicates the bulb or the bulb socket is defective.

there is a fuse panel inside the car usually near the driver area, check the knee bolster (below steering wheel) close to the driver door, also check the side of the dash where the driver door closes.

License plate lights not working on pontiac 2006 vibe

can you check for 12vdc at the license plate connection? It may be more than just a fuse. Is there 12vdc at the power side of the fuse? This power supply issue may be related to the Emmission pump problem.

Back up lights not working

Assuming it has automatic, 10A fuse 29 in the smart junction box supplies power to the reverse lamps relay. If the fuse is OK, the relay could have failed. Fuse 3 in the smart junction box may be open, causing the license plate lights to be off.

You don't mention the year of your Acura. If it's an older model, you may have a bad ground on the light socket...or a corroded/broken wire to the same socket.

Im trying to find the fuse for my 2006 toyota corolla license plate lights.

the number plate light runs off one of the side light fuses.if both your rear lights work try the bulb.

The little light that lights up the back license plate doesn't work. I already tried changing the bulb and still doesn't work. I was wondering if there is a fuse that I should check that may not be good...

check your fuses to see if one is blown. they would be located in your fuse panel, look it up in your owners manual. or call your local volkswagen service dept dealership for the free information. or check with a auto parts store.

Where is the fuse for the rear license plate light for a 2006 xterra

License plate lights and tail lights share the same source of power. It is located inside the IPDM (Intelligent Power Distribution Module). Find it in the engine room RH, the box nearest to the firewall.

No the power to the plate light is the same circuit that powers the parking lights.

it is most likley a wiring problem or the corosion, the license plate lights are tied to the tail lights.
