2003 Thunderbird battery

Manual calls for a BXT66 650 replacement, but I've been told a BXT 65LI will work. Is this true?

    Batteries Plus has a Werker SLI65 LI they say will work. Anyone know if that will replace a BXT66 650?

no you don`t have to just replace the engine. who ever told you this is miss informed. that would be like saying if you needed a transmission you have to replace the engine.

What size of battery is required? I need to replace it.


From page 254 of the 2000 Owners Manual:

Battery (standard): 3.0 engine - BXT-59 3.8 engine - BXT-65-650

Battery (optional) : 3.0 engine - BXT-65-750 3.8 engine - BXT-65-750

I was told that you needed some code to change the battery. Is this true?


thats if your radio is an anti theft type you need to enter a code to get the radio working again please read your owners manual info should be there hope this helps

I need to change the battery on the 2003


it is in the trunk under the mat not to hard remove the mat take off the cables disconect hold strap replace the battery replace strap cables and mat just make shure you pot pos cable on pos and neg cable on neg

there is no part that i am aware of that is called a "CROSS DOCK" so to help you with this problem we need to know the correct name of the part, contact Ford parts and ID the part with the correct name

Look, check at ford dealer or mechanic and ask them that question, im not sure but i think they are the same, but be sure and check it first.
