Question about 1965 Ford Mustang
Driver door latch sometimes latches solid and other time will not latch at all? also I need to replace the window regulator and scissor--best method?
Latch may be worn out. If so, you need to replace it. Otherwise, make sure it is well lubricated and that the striker on the pillar is positioned correctly. Make sure that the hinge pins are not worn either or door will mis-align sometimes when closing. As for regualtor, first find one. Changing it is pretty much a take-out, put-in and adjust operation. If regulator is riveted in, drill rivets out and replace with pop rivets or nuts & bolts.
