2004 Hyundai Elantra open door light comes on when braking

Whenever the car is moving and I hit the brakes, the open door warning light comes on. I have checked all of the doors, and no brake lights are out either. Does anyone have any ideas on this one?

Low oil level in crankcase? Check that out since hard braking will cause the fluid to move to one end and perhaps give a low false reading.

Dome light and door ajar light comes on when you hit the brakes, everything else seem fine, any solutions?

one of the door switches needs to be readjusted, when you are hitting the brakes the weight and slight movement in the doors or the uni body is enough to leave the door switch move a little.

01 Hyundai Elantra - Cruise Control Doesn't Work w/ Headlights On

I had same problem (cruise control/dashboard lights) for the past month with my 2000 Elantra. Replace the tail lights bulbs - my problem was caused by a problem with the double filament within the bulb. Essententially, there was a short when I turned on the lights or hit the brakes.

I did this last night and everything is working properly now.

My 2004 hyundai elantra brake lights are not coming on regularly. sometimes they all light up but most times they do not. All fuses have been checked...what else can be done?

Look at the brake switch. located just above the brake pedal, there is a plunger that goes in and out to make contact for the signal, sometimes the plunger sticks, could be the problem. If the lights are behaving abnormal, like some come on but not others, check the ground under the trunk trim by the latch. especially check it if the car has been rear ended. if the surface is painted, sand the paint off to make sure you have a good contact. hope this helps.

2004 Hyundai Elantra.......Cruise control will not engage

make sure the cruise control cable to the throttle isn't too loose, if it is ok, check your brake switch. if it is sending the signal the brake is on it will not allow cruise to work and will do same thing as described about the set light.
