SOURCE: I have a dodge neon

Check all your fuses on the left of your dash, just check them. You can pop your dash out and check for burnt wires. Im thinking you just blew a fuse. If you can give me more info then what you posted, I can help you out a little bit more. Ive had 3 neons now and ive had plenty of problems with them all.

SOURCE: bleed power steering on 2008 dodge avenger

to bleed power steering, with front wheels off ground slightly with front wheels pointing straight ahead.engine off. remove power steering filler cap.add power steering until fluid level stop dropping, wait couple minutes and wait, add fluid until level stay at full cold mark on power steering cap dip stick. dont over fill.when fluid level stop dropping, start vechicle, let it idle few minutes. see if fluid level drop if so add more fluid full cold mark.then turn steering all the way to left and right with out hitting a stop.turn steering wheel several times, then turn front wheels pointing forward check power steering fluid level.if power steering fluid level stop dropping air should be out of system, if steering turning wheel dont turn smoothly and power steering fluid look light tan color air getting in the system.check all power steering lines to rack and power steering pump for leaks.be sure you replaced all the power steering lines with new o rings if not you will get a leak.if you find a leak, you need to fix the leak and bleed system again.dont drive vechicle if your steering dont feel right, have vechicle towed to a garage.

SOURCE: I have a 2004 dodge

It's the governor. It keeps the car from going too fast. My 2004 Dodge neon does the same thing and it has done that since the day I got it.

In order to get into the steering column of a 1988 Chevrolet C1500 you must pull up on the switch to get it over the end of the steering shaft.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My 2005 Dodge Neon lost steering today. Both wheels point in the same direction, but you can't turn them with the steering wheel.

Have helper turn the wheel as you look under hood. You will likely see a steering column joint that has failed.

Steering wheel shakes hard when shifted into reverse on cold day

Turn your wheel to the left if you begin to navigate to the right and visa versa. The movement of the wheel is always going to be opposite of the direction you want to travel. For example, you could turn the wheel farther left to go to the right.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steering went out what to do

Is the belt that turns the power steering pump loose or broken? You mention replacing the tensioner, so I'm guessing the belt is too loose. If it isn't spinning the power steering pump, the steering would be very difficult. The tensioner should have a mark on it which helps to determine if it is worn and needs replacement. This is a good time to replace the belt also, if needed. Once the tensioner is replaced, you will still have difficulty with the steering wheel and ignition until you can start the car. You might try to raise the front end, so turning the steering wheel will be somewhat easier. A slight turn to the right or left should allow you to get the key to turn, and once started, it should be ok.

Bar in trunk

Do you mean pitman arm. Yes neons steer with the front wheels. All production Neons have Rack and Pinion steering. If it is a pitman arm that is an older steering system found on older cars and large trucks and bigger SUV's.

Steering

sound like your powersteering pump or steering rack and pinion
could be bad.i would say it is your rack and pinion because if your pump was bad your steering would be real hard to turn instead of being jerky.jerking is usally the sign of a bad rack
