Question about 1997 Chevrolet Blazer
I have recently enherited a 1998 Blazer. Upon receiving the car, I attempted to open the hood, only to discover that there seems to be a problem with the hood latch...it won't open. When I pull the latch under the steering wheel, nothing happens.
Can anyone tell me if this is a common problem? And what I need to do to fix it, or if there is an alternate method of opening the hood... I really need to check the oil before I can keep driving it, and also replace the battery soon, but i cannot open the hood.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I had this problem in the past ,bang on the hood with your hand or push up and down also on the hood if you can get at the cable behind the grill see if you can pull it back slightley with someone pulling on the latch inside the vehicle also try spraying some lubricant into the latch under the hood.good luck .
