92 GMC Sonoma, How to change the time on radio clock?

92 GMC Sonoma, I can't figure out how to change the time of my clock on the radio. I believe it's the original radio. Please help!!! It bugs the heck out of me. Thanks in advance.

    same trouble, cant set the time on the clock in the radio

    Radio works but FM will not come in.

If it's the original radio, you have to hold the "set" button and press some of the other buttons to change the hour and minutes. Sorry, can't remember which ones exactly but the "set" button for sure.

Radio power switch off, key on but not started. Press "set" station up and scan up will then set minutes and seconds. Press set again when the time is right.

I change the time on the clock but when I turn the motor off and restart, the time goes back to the original time. How do I get it to keep the time after I change it?


does cigarette lighter work you most likely have a blown fuse in the memory of clock it is part of the stereo but has 2 fuses that function it, power and memory. If its in the radio/clock all presets on radio usually go out to, look for blown fuse.

Is it the original? If not the dealer may need to assign the radio to the truck. Maybe even re-assign it to the truck if it is.

I Have a 1993 GMC sonoma,when I give it gas,and try to take off in 1st gear,it's like it wants to stall.I've did the full tune up on it ,even the fuel filter,and still can't figure out what the problem is.Can you please help,Thanks

I cant figure out how to change the time on my clock, I have tried just about anything i can think of but I am not able to figure it out.


Radio off.Push the set button and then before the set light goes off use the seek and scan buttons to change the hour and minutes.If this is a factory radio.This is how you change the time.Hope this helps.Good luck.
