Under the steering colum there are holes in he plastic cover for screws to hole it together.. then there is a bigger hole.... stick a thin screw driver up the bigger hole and then turn back the ignition and take your key out

2004 aztek will not crank

It sounds like your interlock cable might be malfunctioning. There is a small cable that goes from the ignition switch to the shifter. It is what makes it to where you can not take the vehicle out of gear unless the key is on and the brake pedal depressed. It might not be letting the shifter go all of the way into park witch will not let the key come out of the ignition.

2005 pontiac azteck ignition is stuck and wont go all the way off.. what is the problem

Is the battery dead, if so the key may not come out untill you get power again. Also make sure it is in park, and try moving the shifter down to drive, then back into park again. If that dosen't work put some pressure on the shifter pushing it twards park, and try taking the key out while doing that.

Can't get the key out of the ignition, it is locked up. it's an 2005 pontiac aztek

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

You might want to try to turn the steering wheel a little while turning the key off. If it doesn't help, please do spray wd40 on the key hole and let it sit for atleast 5mins. then turn the key off while turning the wheel. This usually works.

Hope you find this information helpful enough and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Key Stuck in ythe ingnition

There is a hole under the steering column right near the ignition switch, if the key gets stuck, stick a pen or something in the hole, you will feel the little lever move and you can remove the key.
