You could have a bad battery not holding enough cold cranking amps, also the fuel might not be reaching the fuel injectors when its cold from a clogged fuel filter, or you could have some defective spark plugs. Good luck.

In cold weather my 1989 Oldsmobile 98 won't start

Ours did that and in real cold weather could not boost it. Replaced the spark plugs and plug wires and no trouble since. Depends when the plugs were replaced before. If you replace the wires take one off at a time and replace it with a new one. Some people take them all off at once then they are in trouble.

I am having problems starting my 2000 Olds Bravada in cold weather, even only 11-20 degrees. I have to pump the gas pedal in order for the vehicle to start, after a few tries. I can hear the pump working...

The pump is supposed to stop when the fuel rail has enough pressure so the 5 sec. thing is normal.Sounds like you need a throttle position senser replacement.
