There are tons of choices but each one needs fabricating work. Only the stock seats will bolt down directly.

How do i get piece out of transmission that speedo cable goes in on 88 suzuki samurai.

You can try using some heat to free up the corrosion around seam. Or a penetrating oil and let soak for some time

My temperature gage is not reading on my 88 suzuki samurai

the book covers this sensor and guage 100%
the gauge sensors is 1 pin, the other is for ECU car, seems your car is not stock, or had A/C at one time. there are 3 sensors. for water temp on some fully opted cars, ECU, gauge, and A/C.
88 had no ECU. its a carb but who knows what engine is there, its old.
the guages is just 3 simple parts
a gage, a wire and a sender (sensor)
here is the full docs, and the tests in the FSM are very simple
you ground the sender , if the gage goes full scale, its good.
if not its bad.
the sender can be tested in 5min with any DMM. using the ohms scale
the FSM shows, the readings, very clearly.

Why is my 88 suzuki samurai is blowing oil out of exhaust

Your compression is low, the rings in the piston engine are worn out , you will need an engine overhaul , probably you have low power also .And blue smoke to boot ..

Missing rear seat bolts

I'm sure they are metric, but not sure on size. Could you unscrew one from one of the front seats and try it in the hole?

Look on the transmission near the bell housing, this is where the speedometer cable connects to the transmission. Loosen the nut and pull the end out. Turn it manually by hand to see if it is turning and inspect it for damage. This is usually the spot where the cable breaks. You may find it loose and stuck in the transmission when you remove the cable. You can take the broken end out with a pair of needle nose pliers.
Please remember to rate this fix.

88 Suzuki samurai 4x4 will not engage.

The shifter sheet is worn out or not even there (its rubber) from multiple uses. It eventually decades.

Tons of Samurai enthusiast retailers carry them. Lowrangeoffroad, Petroworks, Trail Tough, and more.

They also carry the one for the tranny shifter.
